At the UC Davis Olive Center, we connect research, education, and industry collaboration to support a strong and resilient olive industry.
We are currently recruiting highly motivated and passionate UC Davis undergraduate students (sophomore/junior preferred; open to all majors) for OLEA 360, the UC Davis Olive Immersion Program. OLEA 360 provides students with hands-on technical training while fostering leadership, meaningful relationships, and a deeper understanding of California’s olive and olive oil industry, preparing them to become future leaders in the field.
The program offers a vertically integrated “orchard-to-consumer” learning experience built around four pillars:
- Production Systems – orchard management, irrigation, fertility, and field-based decision-making
- Harvest & Milling Operations – harvest planning, milling processes, and quality assurance
- Laboratory Quality Analysis – analytical methods, chemistry, and sensory evaluation
- Product Development & Public Engagement – blending, bottling, outreach, and consumer education
Students are mentored by Dr. Selina Wang together with a team of experienced mentors and industry professionals. Interested students are encouraged to apply here.
